Good Evening!!  I've been quite the stacker with my blog posts lately, and come to think of it, I really don't have a good excuse why.  Other than the normal, working and working out we've been enjoying the summer!!  Lots of parties, a day on the boat, wedding planning, and tons of lazy days spent at the pool!

I did start my next quilting project.  I cut out my quilt pieces with my super handy fabric cutter from Accuquilt.  It's so quick and easy to use and it takes out the frustration of cutting even pieces.

Although, I've just started, I do really like how the colors are fitting together.

Hopefully, I'll be back soon with the finished project.  In the meantime, here is the most recent table runner that I made for myself!  Along with some pretty flowers that Blain gave me!

Inspiration for a new project

New Project!!!  I love starting new projects, however, sometimes I can't get inspired on what that new project should be.  Well I found some inspiration, pinterest style....

and a little more inspiration found on our coffee table :)

So, I'm thinking of a quilted table runner that follows the blue/green color scheme. Here is the fabric I am going to use!!

More to come.... Happy Memorial Day!!

Well I finished the dress, about an hour before the party started!  It was a tough pattern, I don't think I would try it again.  Overall I think it turned out pretty good, I added a belt because there was just to much material and the gathers weren't as tight as they maybe should of been.  I forgot to get a picture of the front and back, but I have a few taken throughout the night.  It was a super fun party for my little sister, Scarlett and her fiancé, Dan, celebrating there engagement.  They are perfect together!

Here is a shot of the dress with some of my family- it was really good to see almost everyone.  It's been a while!!

Here is my handsome man, he dresses up very nice!

Scarlett & Dan

It was a fun night, the dress was a success.. and I have to say, my parents can throw a really fun party!!
If anyone else does want to give this dress a try, I bought the pattern here: http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/012011-one-shoulder-dress-with-side-zipper

Hi, tonight I have a new make-up product to review... I have used bareMinerals mineral foundation before, which is a great foundation when your in a hurry or if you prefer a lighter coverage.  However, I had not tired any of their Ready Eyeshadows, they come as a pressed powder.. and they are fabulous!! I was drawn in by the wide array of colors and color combos.  I love the color purple, it's one of my favorites but I am always a little hesitant to wear it, due to the fact that I have a fair skin and I don't want to look like I have a bruised eye!  That being said, I just couldn't resist, and the lady at the counter insisted it would look great.

So, I get my new purple eyeshadow home and open the pretty little box (my favorite part of new makeup) to find a super handy little guide for a day time/ night time look!

This eyeshadow is awesome!!  It's blends wonderfully, the colors go on so smooth and have great pigment.  This is a great buy for anyone that is nervous about trying new colors and looks.  The day time/night time guide give you a start and the easy to blend colors are very nice to work with.
I believe at Sephora the 4 shadow compact was $30, but the also offer many options in a 2 shadow compact for $20.

Sorry my pictures are a little lame, it was early this morning and I didn't think I should wake Blain for a photo session!

ON ANOTHER NOTE, I'm decided I wanted to make a dress to wear to my sister's engagement party.  I thought it was so cool that you could purchase and print patterns online at www.burdastyle.com.  So I bought the pattern only to realize that it was 89 pages long and then you have to piece the whole thing together, and then trace it to pattern paper and add seam allowances.

So this is only part of it, as I had to cut off sections as I taped because I didn't have enough open floor space for 89 pages!  Here is what the finished product should look like..

Cute huh!!  Hopefully I can pull it off, did I mention the party is this Saturday......
Stayed tuned for the outcome!

Welcome to Everything Jessica, everything being:  Fashion, Make-up, Hair, Sewing.. basically all things girly!  As you guessed, my name is Jessica Trumpy (soon to be Swift ) and I love to create.  Whether it be a new outfit, or a new quilting project- I'm into it.  I live in a small town with my fiancé Blain, and our 2 little dogs Molli & Chunk.

Blain and I are getting married in August and I couldn't be more excited (especially for the honeymoon).  He is my soulmate and best friend and totally supports all my odd projects that are scattered around the house.

I'll be back shortly with a more creative post!
